Youth Services
BRIDGE youth services are for individuals ages 16 to 21*. Many of these students have not completed their general education requirement; and therefore, will work each day at Central Piedmont Community College in an effort to complete high school. All students spend half a day attending a series of workshops and classes to develop the life skills and job readiness skills necessary to succeed. These workshops assist the clients in understanding the barriers to success and provide direction in overcoming these barriers. Once students have completed high school they are offered career development or advanced education options.

Adult Services
A job for every adult!
BRIDGE uses Job Coaches and Social Workers to help adults find part-time or full-time employment. Most of the clients are displaced workers who have been laid off and need assistance in finding a new career. These clients often need to complete high school to get a job that will support their family.

BRIDGE services to adults are designed to allow students over 18 years of age and individuals who have completed their general educational requirements to explore careers of their interest, provide them with career-specific training and job placement assistance.

A variety of job assessment tools used. Students explore the careers most closely associated with their personality through research, shadowing and internships. Once the student has chosen a career field of choice, they are then provided with support and guidance to obtain the skills needed to enter their chosen industry.

Students must have completed their GED or high school diploma to enroll in the career development classes.
